Here is my current workout routine:

Monday: Squats then three other free weight exercises

Tuesday: Cardio; cross trainer, rower, calithetics, track (5 laps)

Wednesday: Deadlifts then three other freeweight exercises

Thursday: Bench press them three other free weights exercises

Friday: Cardio; cross trainer, rower, calithetics, track (5 laps) then two free weight exercises at the end

The free weight exercises are whatever I fancy on the day but normally things like shoulder press, dumbell bench, bent over row etc, the core ones if you will.

I normally change my routine every 4-6 weeks. Before this I used to workout in my mums living room with dumbells for three years until I got my flat in the last few months. I think working with my own weights slowed me down a bit because it was expensive when I had to buy more weights so I wasn't always able to push myself. Currently squats are my weakest exercise but I'm generally weak due to having long limbs and a small body, standing at 5'11.2. Due to this I find squats particularly awkward and unnatural to do.

When I trained at home I used to do a morning session and an afternoon session three times a week although now I go to the gym everyday. My goals are fitness and strength, filling out is satisfying but not my main aim.

There is no question, it's just a newbie trying to fit in by referencing yet another "classic" Pistonheads meme.

And spelling their username incorrectly too...

If you want opinions on your training plan it may be useful to say what you're trying to achieve, by when and how you're going to measure that achievement.

^ yep

Have a goal first. It's pointless trying to decide on a routine if you don't know what you want to achieve. How much fuel should you put in your car if you don't know where you're driving to?

Must've said it a million times to people, but it's amazing how many people don;t have a goal and then wonder what sort of training they should be doing and why they are failing to get anywhere.
