How many of you have got some form of air in your car on some kind of road, public or track.
Just got back from a drive and I was doing about 50ish on a 60mph B road and I was heading over a crest and boom, air. Actually scared me as I didn't know it was so sharp. must of only been 1ft but when I landed it was great! Tyre squeal and a broken back. Won't be doing it again any time soon but it was an experience!

Done it a few times. Busted the diff on my Disco due to a bit too much air setting up a trial. Think my record and most scary was in my Uncles 90. I'm told the front wheels where circa 5 foot in the air and the rears 1-2 feet. That's was a rather near brown trouser moment I must admit.

Well few years ago I got a couple of seconds of 'air time' over a hump back bridge by accident. Must have flown quite a few feet. Well it certainly felt like it. Lucky for me I was in a land rover at the time. Did a similar thing a few weeks later in a mates clio and took the sump out on landing.

Did it in a fresh out of the box 205 gti years ago. Purely by accident. Humpback bridge, and it all got very messy.

Car really didn't like it, with work needing done at the main dealers the next day paperbag

Once accidentally. I wasn't happy about it either.

I'm also getting sick of seeing cars constantly airborne in EVO. There is no way they would do that if they owned them. I'll eat my words if I see a flying Zonda in the coming months.

Alot of the time people think they are airbourne but they aren't, just the suspension travel

I did it once in a 911 GT3 - that rear engine comes down first and I ripped a bracket off the bottom of the engine which left a hole for oil to drip out. Wasn't a pleasant experience, required new underwear...and again when I got the bill to repair the engine!

Yeah I had that a few times in my other cars. In this though it was airbourne. Revs went up, had moment of lightness and then the car had tyre squeal when it landed. I would like to do it again but my car lacks a rally setup so I'm slightly scared of death.

When I was a young seemingly indestructible idiot I hit a humpback bridge at 70 in my old 1.1i saxo. Probably the scariest time i've ever had behind a wheel and now I think back and think what the fk was I thinking lol

Same, except I find if I go over a hump its me that gets air (arse off the seat) rather than the bike eek Happened a couple of times and I'm surprised I haven't ruined my bikey trousers...

Long time ago in rural Sussex I had loud foot engaged in my 1983 quatto, never been on road before and road went sharp right after the humpback bridge, it landed on the outgoing apex, 16 years on I still dont know how it didnt end up in the field, guardian angel or pure luck, sod all to do with me and steering wheel.
Rest of journey in sweat but the old dear enjoyed the flight without suspension damage etc.
Had it fot 19 years, good car but now gone.

We've all had what the fk was I thinking moments. First thing I did when I passed my test was go out for a 'drive' in my 1.0 Corsa. Surprised I made it back hehe Stupid times, but this time I didn't mean to get air, was doing 10 under the NSL and it looked a lot more flat from my angle.

Once. That jump on Millbrooks Alpine test track. Was in Audi's demo Audi S3.

What people don't realise about that jump is that very quickly afterwards is a left 90degree turn. Not the most fun!

I once flew a rental Hyundai Elantra. That wasn't the worst thing I did to that hateful car...
