Car is a white 997.1 GT3, and I want to get the wheels re done this weekend.

Thinking of a dark grey look for the wheels, not sure on which colour code.

Maybe Meteor grey? Maybe something a shade darker, any ideas? Need a colour code for the paint shop though... not interested in black, not interested in polished lip.

this is what the car looks like:

Can some of you photoshop wizards help by making the wheels dark grey so I can see how it looks. I have no photo software at work...

Cheers

Not mine, it popped up in an old thread as the guy was selling. His email was: moony_s8n@hotmail.com (sure he'd be happy to advise on code).

Nah, not dark enough. I'm thinking either meteor grey or slate grey. Slate grey is a nice colour no?

I think I may go for slate grey, does anyone know the paint code for it?

I've found L22D and LY7U, I'm after the slate grey as per the 997, not sure if it was different on older Porsches.

keep it lit

Painting wheels with 2-pac conventional car paint looks great initially but it does not last, and is not up to wear due to tyre changes...

A quality powder coated finish is what's required, last forever and you can chuck bricks at it!

Mate, thanks a lot for that - very good effort and just what I needed to see. Confirmed my thoughts, and should look good when done!

thanks again

Hi Tom.

Thanks for the effort. But, as Mr Mcdowell says in Eddie Murphy's 'Coming to America':

"Son, if you want to keep working here, stay off the drugs!"
