18 " spiders for Griffith 500 . Tyre choice !!!!!!

Hallo,
A friend of mine replaced his 15&16" griffith wheels for 18" Tuscan Spider wheels.
At the rear everything is fine. But on the front we have a slight problem !!
On the picture you see that wheel +tyre is filling the whole gap. When turning the steeringwheel, the tyre hits the inside wheelarche. Wheel is 18" and tyre is 235/40/18. So obviously the tyre is to wide in diameter. What is the solution for this ? 225/35/18 ?

225/35/18 is what you need. Also, if the spiders are all rears as they usually are for this conversion you may need 6-7mm spacers either side at front and don't forget longer studs.
PS; probably don't have to say but it looks like you have a wheel nut missing.
