New Classic and Sports Car
Discussion
New shiny site!
I'm slightly biased as I am one of the team that built it but I think it's pretty good.

I'm sorry, but that site looks a mess. And what purpose is it going to serve?
I do like the C&SC updates on Facebook though; informative, and add to the personality of the magazine.
Lovely, constructive criticism at it's best I do like the C&SC updates on Facebook though; informative, and add to the personality of the magazine.

Apart from being somewhere to look at cars for sale, read the latest news, find out what events are happening, find the club you need and get in touch with other like minded people it probably serves absolutely no purpose whatsoever.
In fact it does pretty much the same as PH but for old cars only.

AS a long time reader of C&SC I have to say Octane is a better read. Less adverts better features.
Have to agree with that, although I subscribe to both.sarahcoles said:
I think there's no harm in getting Criticized. We should take applauds and criticism with open arms.
Absolutely, I would rather have criticism and comments than "it's perfect", there is no such thing as the perfect website, things can always be improved.
P.S. jamesatcandsc is the editor of C&SC, (or one of them!)

Beware if you post criticism on this thread. Group Editor James Elliott is watching and will be in touch...
You can't really complain about someone obsessed with 928's
.Oh hell, judge for yourselves, this is what I sent him:
Hello Mike,
This is James Elliott from Classic & Sports Car. I was interested in your
comment about the magazine and wondered if you would indulge me by expanding
on it. Can you give any specific examples of the articles or writers that have
put you off the magazine? Or if it is a general trend, maybe when it started
and what epitomises it? And who and what you would prefer to see in the
magazine instead of its current contents.
I do apologise for the possibly unwanted intrusion, but feedback such as this
is crucial to us (we really do try and serve our readers, but until they tell
us what we are doing right and wrong, there is always an element of
guesswork).
Thank you for your time
James
I know this isn't the place for this debate - and I don't expect any public discussion of it; but I have to admit that I was also puzzled as to what Mikey77 meant.
It certainly isn't the view I have of CS&C. Sure, not every article appeals to me, and so there are bits I don't read, but I've subscribed for at least twelve years, and don't intend to stop anytime soon.
In general, I enjoy the writing, along with the writers' personal points of view, which is possibly what Mikey77 regards as 'adolescent fantasising'.
