Staff theft

A guy working here left about two weeks ago.

turns out before he left - literally on the last day he "refunded" a large amount or two to his ccard. they're looking into all the transactions on the day to discover how much.

but realistically could they persue it further by getting the police involved?

Hell yes. Theft, pure and simple. They can also quite legitimately tell any future potential employer that he's a fackin feef.

they are slightly different offences - the main thing is with fraud there has to e a false representation / lie.

sounds more suitable for theft IMO.

Call the police.

Collate all of your records, preserve the evidence. Write down everything you remember clearly whilst it is fresh - when you realised, who, where, what, how, etc.

Didn't it all end rather differently rather recently when a thieving asshole got the compo and the victim was fined because victim didn't like his walk to the BIB station be interesting to see if it's another 'civil' matter unless it's easy to convict.

So... 9 months in an open prison, possibly commuted to home release and tagging after 5/6 months max?

My sister had a senior staff member screw her business for £30K for his gay partner friend. Overtime timesheet fiddling mainly. My sister was in and out of hospital for some time in the same period -15 months, so it all got hidden away by him quite nicely. The business JUST survived. The police investigating it didn’t cover themselves in glory either - but that shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone....
His sentence = 300 hours community service, the prisons were full. O.k. it was Liverpool so that bit is believable.

i doubt it'll be prison for 7K. if so it'll be for a month two i reckon.

Let's hope he has to pay it back.

How many times do you see thieves have the option of paying it back or a prison sentence.

I could do a year inside for £200k, if I didn't have a career like those thieving gits.
