Forgot old log in details so new account..

After some advice, I've got about £6k in a savings account I've accumulated in last 6 months since starting a new job, which I'm adding to at the rate of about £600/month. No real plans for it, but it isnt making anything sat there- any ideas on what I can do to help it work for me a bit more?

I currently work full time + about 2 weekends a month freelance so don't have much more time to spend doing anything..

Im mid 20s and renting a room off a mate at cheap rates.

I'd say an ISA - tax free return and you can put up to £10k per year in

Invest 100% of it into a fund (choose one according to your attitude to risk) and forget about it until that rainy day

Stocks and shares ISA all the way - study or get advice or go to (say) halifax and ask for a cautious portfolio if you dont want to think about it.

I'd go for a more adventurous fund if I were in my mid-20s but everyone has their own views on risk.

Happy with the car I've got, but they do look good!

I'm happy with risk with things I know about, plenty of speculative purchases in areas I know about- but cautious 'betting' on things I have little knowledge about..

Cash ISAs seem pretty dull- may do that and save for house deposit...

Where do you live ? I'm looking at Student lets in Liverpool as an investment, and if I can find £50K I can use it as leverage to get a large 8 bed house on a buy to let mortgage that will yeild £15K a year Do you fancy coming in as a junior director?
