Having just had work done to a clutch seal problem on my cerbera, (dumped all the hydrolic fluid - mid overtaking manoeuvre) I've been told the warranty company I've got has gone t*ts up, and is now in the hands of insurers. I've had to pay for the 'warranty' work and will have to try and claim it back. Anyone had a similar experience and know how long this could take, or if they insurers will even pay up?? Anyone in the same position - so to speak??

Are you talking about Warranty Holdings, WHA?

If you are, I understand you will get your money about 3 weeks after your claim
as they have been bought out.

Hope that's brighter news for you?

Hi gcerbera, Yeah, Warranty holdings are the ones. Good news though about the timing, if only about three weeks I might not even have to grovel before the bank manager.

Castle TVR are looking into my 'missing paperwork' at the moment. WH had a cheque back in November last year from Castles, and cashed it, but cant find any record of my paperwork! I have never been issued with any documents from WH and with their recent 'going into administration', they cant find any trace of my application....
Im hoping that Im 'covered' should i need to make a claimbetween now and next November..

I've only had my cerbra 10 weeks, and I'm on my third breakdown, becoming nervous about taking it out and 'driving' it without some cover.

Always good to have recovery as a fall back, but after 3 breakdowns in 10 weeks,
I'd suggest you give it to a specialist (Joospeed TVR Power TopCats Racing etc)
and they will put everything right in one hit.

Go create some weather...

I'm claiming for my radiator, due to it leaking, and WH have agreed to pay 2/3rds of the cost. Whether I get it back or not is another matter. I have been told that someone else is in the same boat, and they've been waiting 4-6 weeks to be paid out. Fingers crossed.

I'm not too worried about the wait, just as long as the money would come eventually.

My Cerb is going in to Topcats mid june for it's 36,000 mile service. It's in good health at the moment, but I thought I'd note down a few little niggles that I want them to fix at the same time.

12 points later on the list and I'm still thinking of more

Hope you're warning them in advance that you're adding stuff to the list then .. one of the things I fear most is when someone books in for a service (10-16 hours work) and then gives me a list of other stuff that takes another 10 hours .. so make sure it's ok for you to add stuff that you haven't booked in with them .. it's only common courtesy after all

Yep, I will be. Warren will have the car for as long as he needs, and i've already mentioned that it will need a few more things doing to it.

Were still waiting for a new temperature/pressure gauge from TVR though, it's only been 2 months so far...
