Big commotion at the Barras

Driving past the Barras (Glasgow) today, I saw a load of traffic cars, police, as well as a nice selection of off-road police bikes! I thought there was maybe a raid, but a local shopkeeper told me they were shooting a film involving a "big stunt".

Anyone know more about this? Judging by the number of marked police cars and bikes, they were part of the set rather than there to keep an eye on things. I'd love to see what they were doing, but the shopkeeper had no idea what they were filming for!

I clocked online yesterday that the next installment of the "Dark Knight" (Batman) film is being shot on locations in the UK... one of them being Glasgow.

Spotted a load of white trucks parked up in the big open carpark in tradeston this morning with "movie maker" or similar plastered on the fronts of them.

I saw this, the road was blocked at both ends and thought it must have been Taggart if they are still filming anymore of them.

But there were definite real SF plated 5 series traffic cars there, don't know if they hire them out to film sets?

Did see one old style Vectra with stripes that looked like they were more for film set than the road!

There are signs up in St Vincent street saying that there is no parking this weekend as they are filming. Right hand side at the top of the hill.

There was something about the new Batman film being shot at Dalcross Airport on the front cover of the Highland News, but I could nay be arsed reading it.

I was told it was a German porn film, getting filmed in the Royal Collage of Physicians next door to my work. But someone might have been winding me up?
