So I have had the Griff for about a couple of months now and have noticed an occasional strange clunk coming from behind me , sometimes when moving and sometimes when stationary. It seems to be coming from the fuel tank, and the best way to describe it is that it is akin to a metal oil can contracting/expanding.

So is this normal? Any thoughts/comments much appreciated,

thanks

Matt.

Its not the diff knocking is it?

Do you occasionally notice it when changing gear as well as when pulling away?

Agreed. It's fairly common. Can get it sorted when it goes in for service (or do it yourself - I guess it'll be in the Bible), but in the meantime you can mitigate it by (if you have the original TVR fuel cap rather than the Leven one), only part locking the fuel cap. Turn it so that the fuel cap is on, but will loosely turn by (IIRC) just less than a quarter turn.

Ah...that makes sense. Now I come to think of it I only started noticing it after I got a new shiny Leven cap (previously had no cap at all).

A copy of the Bible is in the post to me, so I shall take a look once it arrives...

Thanks for the help
