TUSCAN ROCKER COVER, GASKET OR SEALENT?
Discussion
Typically its silicone, but there are also some folk that have produced a gasket...some good, some not so good. Try the usual suspects for availability. I have a Raceproved gasket (not sure if they still make it) which has lasted 2.5 years to date with no signs of deterioration, just a little rubber grease on the gasket and it comes off first time. No more hitting with the rubber mallet to break the silicone seal. It also raises the cover enough so the timing chain doesn’t rub.
I have the RG rubber one fitted. When I first had it fitted(not by RG) it leaked. I then did not drive the car for a good few months due to circumstances. RG's website then was updated and suggested to use spring washers on the cam cover bolts. This has just been done by my dealer. So far so good, but I have not done many miles yet.
