Cuba vs Brazil vs Mexico vs ???
Discussion
Looking to spend two weeks at some point during July. Gf coming as well.
These are the 3 countries on the short list, ideally something with a South American type flavour.
Opinions/experiences/recommendations?
Holiday has to be a mix of history and culture. Multiple places, multiple sights, every day doing/seeing something (none of that w
king by the pool in a hotel rubbish). Plus, epic photo opportunities.
Is 2 weeks enough to see a worthwhile amount of Brazil? Perhaps for the duration Cuba would be more appropriate?

Ok so the obvious comment is that of your 3 only 1 is in South America, Cuba is in the Caribbean and Mexico is actually classed as North America, then Central, then South.
Budget is going to come into this quite allot as Cuba and Mexico are much more established holiday destinations to UK visitors anyhow, plus it’s a longer flight, and a vast country compared to the other two, well Cuba especially. Technically you’ll meet all of your requirements at any of these but I’d rule Cuba out if you want to do something different everyday, there’s allot of poverty outside of the resorts if this would bother you. Mexico has allot to offer Mayan ruins are very interesting and there are day trips for man and dog.
Brazil, for 2 weeks unless you want to get a couple of internal flights would concentrate on one or two regions. Lots of other places to consider too, Costa Rica is very nice, Peru for Machu Picchu etc, only restriction really is time and your wallet.
I cannot disagree that Cuba is in Carribean - as it is ! However to me it felt more Latin American than Carribean - would you not agree? (I have not been to Latin America - so am curious here).
I think there is plenty to do in Cuba for the period you are looking for.........

I would definitely agree that Cuba is very much Latin American!
It's the only of the 3 I've been to, and imo probably the best for a fortnight.
The others you will be frustrated to an extent as you'll feel like you've just scratched the surface in 2 weeks, or that would be my view.
Only thing is that July is verging on hurricane season for Cuba, so possibly not the best time to go. If you're inflexible on your timing then aiming equatorial may be best!
Apart from timing, any reason that Argentina is out? For me it's got pretty much everything South America has to offer in terms of scenery and culture, plus it has the best food and wine!
Obviously July ain't the best time to be going though.
