Pages in a forum - back to where you where

Not the greatest thread title ever, but I couldn't think of tidier wording.

Sometimes I'll be reading through a forum, and be several pages into the forum. E.g., I might spot an interesting thread on page 3 of GG.

In I go, and read a 4 page thread.

When I'm done, I can return to the GG forum, but my browser takes me back to page 1 of the forum, and I then have to page through to where I found the thread.

Or I can go "back" through the thread to emerge where I was in the forum, on page 3.

Is there a way to go straight back from the end of the 4 page discussion to page 3 of the forum?

Click on the page number 8 type in the number of the page you want.

Not so much.

I don't want to have to remember which page number in the forum I was looking at before I dived into the thread.

Right click on your browser 'back' button.

Click on the page you want in the drop-down menu.

Unfortunately we only log the position in a forum thread, and not the title listings. The back button is the only solution to this at the moment (or right click and open in new tab/window for each thread you read).
