Morning All,

The wheels on my 3R are starting to look a little past their best, and rather than getting them refurbed given the well known wheel issues, I am going to change to a set of compomotive MOs.

I have had a trawl though previous posts and it seems the sizes to go for are 8*18 and 10*18. Im still a little unsure of the other details so can someone confirm what bolt pattern and offsets are needed for the Noble. I would like to keep the original 225 and 265 tyre sizes.

Is it best to get these wheels direct from compomotive or is there another prefered supplier ?

cheers !

No you're not! They don't fit since they changed tooling for the rears.

I thought compomotive pretty much made/drilled the wheels to your desired offset and pcd?

Ok, so you learn something new every day...

Is there an alternative then or am I stuck with the originals ?

Correct. They just can't clear the calipers without a 25mm offset anymore.

Am I wrong then and wasting my time considering alternatives ?

Having read the barrage of posts on here about it you would imagine the 3R/M400 wheels were made from cheese.

In my experience the M400 wheels are strong, my rear skelped a curb sideways at high speed as the car spun (when i made the mistake of giving a friend a shotty) and it only suffered a slight buckle and dent, the way people talk the rim should have separated from the spokes.

I may have been lucky but that's just an example, i refused to pay nobles £500+ for a single wheel and bought the MO's which are lighter and look stronger for less than 1k for the set.

it appears Comopmotive have changed the basic hub style casting for the wider rear wheels

this now means the rims do not clear the caliper and you will need a spacer to get them to fit !

the earlier design works fine

just make sure if they are going to make you some wheels they use the older style casting

Funky - Black MO's will look awesome on your car

Yep - I think there is more chance of pissing in the Queens's handbag then getting 10 people to agree on the Rotas.
