Happy or Sad ?

Strange time for me i am really Happy because my 4.5 is almost ready to be picked up just having the ice done by bce in blackpool.. Will post the pics when i get the car back. The car had a complete colour change by surface and design , new interior from DC TRim , bits of carbon here and there and chassis and engine work from Mike Vernon at MV automtive. This is the guy from the factory who had the enviable job of being sent to america by the factory to look after the tvr cars for the swordfish movie.!!
Really sad because the 4.2 i bought to keep the itch scratched whilst waiting for my 4.5 must now go. I have come to love the 4.2 car... Is it lunacy keeping the two?

bought the 4.5 has a haylcon blue in January so car was away for five months.. should get it next week.. Induction and Map has not yet been done.. but want to get on and drive it so map may have to wait until after i have done some driving. The 4.5 has INTRAX Suspension which i bought new directly from holland at a cost of 2k.. the 4.2 has nitrons which so far are incredible ,it will be good to see if more money actually makes for a better handling car.

Generally people dont get their money back on 'restorations'. I wish the chap with the £39K cerb all the best but personally I would buy the brand new Sag for £45K from Raceproved at that price level.
I dont know what year your car is or what you paid for it but for example I would value a 98 4.5 with new paint and rebuilt engine etc at no more than £19K. Yours could be worth £25K but it all depends on the market, what people are willing to pay, what exactly you have had done etc..... All IMHO

what it is worth to you is the important thing, looks like you'll have a very well sorted car to your spec... Have fun.

That is very interesting and good to know because I had Nitrons on my old V8S and that was a vast improvement and loved them. I fitted Intrax to the Cerb and couldn't believe how well it went and had only mine on very tired standard ones and test drives of other Cerbs to really compare it against. I realise you need to factor in that each TVR is completely different even if its the same model let alone different models. Nice to hear a second opinion that reflects mine non-the-less. Just need to understand how to adjust them now

My old 4.2 went from factory to nitrons which was a massive improvement, then I drove the current car with intrax..... It is so much better, just feels so much more planted..Gassing Station | Cerbera | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
