Guys,

anyone know what Iron Maiden are playing on their current tour?

Thinking of taking the kids but only want to go if they are playing all the old classics and not just newer stuff?

When they did a straight play-through of one of the last albums I didn't know any of the songs but it was worth the ticket price for the encore of older stuff alone IMO.

Record Collector have a nice article on them this month if anyone wants to see if their old stuff is worth anything or just have a read.

I'm just glad I managed to see them at a small venue and be right at the front at least once smile

As much as I love Maiden, I do wish they'd shuffle the setlists about a bit more. Probably limited by the stage sets and everything, but would be cool to see a few more obscure tunes get an airing. Guess they've damned if they do (people will moan at no Fear of the Dark) and damned if they don't (oh, The Trooper again...). Now, if they could see their way clear to playing Alexander the Great or Quest for Fire...

There is a great tribute band up this way called "Iron On Maiden" - their set list tends to be the ultimate fan pleaser for those of us who crave the older stuff.
