Rear bump noise
Discussion
I have a 96 4.2 cerbera which is the dogs bollocks quiet frankly. Anyway there is a bumping noise coming from the back end when I go over rougher ground or decelerating but not on the throttle. There is also no engage/dis-engage feeling or noise from the diff. The local TVR people suggested that it would be the diff's top mounting bolt which apparently corrodes all the time. Unfortunatly its not this or anything else such as suspention/trailing arms etc. Has anyone else had a similar experience , it almost sounds like the fuel tank is banging up and down at times (ive checked that as well). Any ideas its driving me bonkers.

Could it be those notorious anti roll bar mounts?
I had a bit of a trawl and found the link I was thinking of. It originated in the Griffith area, the thread is entitled 'Noisy fuel tank' and the origination date was 20th April 2001. There seemed to be a few people who'd experienced similar (and in Chimaeras too). Might be worth investigating...
Rear Bump noise is getting worse and we still havent got a clue as to what it could be, maybe a top mount for the rear suspension, definately not the fuel tank equalisation as its consistant. Any more ideas would be be of help as its going up on the ramps agin tomorrow. Also now got a leak which seeps water into the passenger footwell, anyone with previous experience here? Thanks all.
