Hi ! Can anybody help. Im trying to get a child seat to fit in the back of my Cerbera, but all i get is conflicting information. I understand that the only seat that fits is a Recaro Start which is fine, but some people say i need a bracket bolted to the chassis and others say it fits with out the need for the bracket!
If i need a bracket, where do i get one from? I spoke to Racing Green and they say that they cannot get them.
So can someone help please? Dave.

Im picking that seat up tonight. But he tells me that he had a bracket fitted at the factory that gives the front of the seat some support. Spoke to Racing Green and they cant get the support bracket and other people say the seat fits without the support. Just wondered if anyone has had any experience with putting children in a Cerbera. Thanks for the reply.

Recaro start without a bracket was fine for me and many others on here. Not aware that it was a problem.

The seats without the brackets work, just the bracket will give the fronts a bit more stability, as without they will rock slightly. Had 2 Starts in my Cerb for a number of years without any worries smile

The Recaro Start fits in both the front seat and the rear without any problems. I have used for a couple of years without any additional bracket - works fine. Only thing to note that it's better behind the passenger seat if you are a taller driver.

Now my kids are older, I've got a couple of Recaro Starts which are now surplus to requirements, if you're interested...

As for the pukkah Cerb kiddie seat attachment. I've got one in mine but I've never used it as it came with the car. All I know is that you need to get a bracket mounted in the floor & in the tunnel to take it.

This is the correct way to use a baby seat in a cerbera ,and that is with this bare fitted , any other way and you only find out its wrong when it is to late!!

I dont agree. The recaro start fits well without a bar.

OK then, put forward a reasoned argument and we might listen...

Hi. Thanks for the replies. As i said there seems to be a lot of conflicting information! I have now bought a Recaro Start and it does seem to move around a bit. Does anyone know where i can get a bar from and who could fit it ??
Many thanks.

The bar went with tvrs in house seat. Apparently it is a recovered recaro start but to me they look different. I don't recall the recaro start moving around in my car. I doubt tvr put any science into the bar provision. If you want to ensure a child is very safe then never let them in any tvr. I know, a crap argument!

Thread resurrection - since I now have 2 TVR seats, 1 with the Group 1 cushion (plus the bar and all the bits) and an original Recaro Start with Impact Cushion

The bar does go with TVR's own seat and should be used when used in Group 2 mode.

If you are using it with the optional recaro start type cushion (Group 1) then the bar is not needed.

In no way is the TVR seat a recovered Recaro. Its basically a piece of shaped polystyrene covered in leather.
