Hi guys basically i want a new car in august. My last car was a punto gt and i miss being able to overtake with ease so i thought an impreza would be perfect but im worried about running costs what are they actually like? insurance is £1260 a year for a standard turbo 2000.

The civics a bit cheaper to insure but is it as much fun as the subaru and what are the running costs of a vti compared with an impreza?

Thanks smile

They are no too bad considering the performance on offer. Its the MPG that can be the real issue, more so if you are doing lots of travelling in it. Also, as with any older car, some bits might break...

How bad can the mpg get? My old punto was doing 21mpg on average and that wasnt too bad to live with. I was also looking at a crx del sol vti anyone know if they are much fun?

Dont buy a turbo charged car if you are worried about MPG. If you drive it really hard then it can be 15MPG, those kind of numbers... On a run expect 25-35MPG depending on quick you drive...
