Gents I need you help,
I have been trying for what now seems to have been years trying to get rid of a bad earth on my MS2 with edis 8 installation, basically the ECU resets eg cutting out for a split second, which is not good to say the least. It has been put down to a noise interferance on the car which leads to the earth of the car( a usual problem with plastic cars), but I just can't get rid of it. I have now taken the final step of taking the car to a garage which deals in MS installations, but they are also struggling. I have tried everything anybody has suggested but was wondering has anybody elce has had similar issues or could help in anyway.
Things I have tried and done.
All new earth cable, around the car
suppresors on the coil packs.
all system earths to the same point on the engine.
Upgraded from MS1 to MS2 as MS 2 has noise filters
Ran without the alternator for a while ( no joy)
Ran without idle valve ( no joy)
Resistive plugs installed
Help :-(
