Although potentially could of been much more serious I did rofl at the garda legging it round the parked car when he played chicken with them. Why not just get in it? hehe

How was he not shot at?! Shirley endangering the lives of the security personnel and the aircraft would warrant weapons drawn at the least.

I laughed at "NOT OUR FECKIN PLANE, NO!!" though. hehe

At the end of the day, no shots fired, no planes damaged, lunatic in custody.

I'd call that a result for the Gardai - no?

He slashed the garda from ear to mouth and down to his neck before forcing him from the vehicle and driving down pedestrianised Winthop Street and Oliver Plunkett Street, forcing people to flee, before heading for the airport.

Had he tried that in the States he'd have been cut to ribbons in a hail of gunfire!

Definitely a result for the Garda if their training relies entirely on pure luck to defuse a situation, otherwise a pretty poor show.

That is extremly shocking actually.

I hope he's been charged with attempted murder.

Apart from the Queen's departure last week, Cork Airport has been in the news recently for all the wrong reasons.

The only competant human being in that whole escapade was the pissed moron in the stolen car.

What a pathetic indictment of the rest of them. Utter, utter imcompetence.
