Tight fisted bd company I'm working for next week have booked me an Easyjet flight without speedy boarding.

The etickets haven't come through yet so I can't check this out, but does anybody know if you can add Speedy Boarding and pay for it after the tickets have been bought?

TIA

You want to be first on the bus that takes you to the plane? Therefore last off the bus and onto the plane?

silly

Strangely, the easyjet website tells you this:

Booking Speedy Boarding – it couldn’t be simpler:
  • Add it to your basket when you book your flights
  • Add to your existing booking at My easyjet.com
  • Purchase at the airport before you fly

No. You tried Speedy Boarding? They let the SB people off the bus and on the plane first, to get the seat that you want and an overhead locker that is overhead.

Is it really such a big deal? Just been on Easyjet to Portugal. 5 of us, got seats together, bags up top, and we were no where near the start of the boarding queue. Plane was 90% full I would guess.

I am guessing that you are on your own as its business, so can't see it will be a problem.

Went to Spain and back last week with SB. Flight was full and it was like a cattle market for the 'normal' boarders. After 4 days mentally stressful work I would rather not have to 'fight' for a seat and locker space.

So yes, very worth it fro my experience last week.

especially if you're not paying! I used to use it a lot when it was cheap (on Ryanair) but it's getting silly now.

You get an exit seat with leg room, a locker you can reach and don't have to stand in a queue for long. If the company pays, I'll opt for SB, why not?

I also use a lavender scented hankie so I don't have to smell the poor people.

Problem with Speedy Boarding and Faro is that, IIRC, you have to buy SB both ways but they don't operate the system out there. Its just the usual bunfight for everyone (bar those with children) on the way back.

Unless you're travelling in a group of three of more I think speedy boardy is a waste of money. I don't understand the psychology of people when it comes to boarding planes, there are enough seats for everyone and as long you're at the gate in time they'll not go without you.
