I know the subject of DRL's divides opinion, but I've just seen that one of the main players for TVR has come up with these ( sorry, on work comp so can only give link):

http://www.tvrpowersbodyshop.com/media/uploads/pro...

And I think they look bloody marvelous and only £90 +VAT.

p.s. No I don't work for them and I don't even have a Tiv yet, so may not be qualified to make any assumptions, but IMO I think they look quite smart.

I saw a Tuscan with them fitted a few weeks ago. It was dusk and they looked great. But personally I have lots of £90 to spend on my car before I spent it on fairy lights

Vandalism aside, I totally agree. Don't like 'em one bit, especially those stupid wavy Audi ones.

Unfortunately we'll all have to have some at a certain point, with the EU legislations being enforced upon us...

yes Agreed, they look ste. The worse ones I've seen so far are the new Land Rover ones, they look like a couple of chandeliers at the front of the car.hurl

I take it whenever this "LAW" comes in it will only be for new cars and won't apply to cars before a certain date. Does anyone know when this "LAW" is due to begin?

Whoa! Never thought it would stirr up that kind of response!

Well, what can I say?

I must admit, I am somewhat suprised at the ferocity of some of the replies and I am dissapointed at Flintstones take as well.

Like I said, I like them and they are some of the most tastefull ones I've seen for quite a while. There are also the obvious safety pros having DRLs.

Safety is a good point, low dark coloured cars are very hard to see on tree lined roads even in bright sunlight. How many of us remember to put on sidelights in those circumstaces?

Xenons and washers... I thought you didn't need to have the latter ones even when retrofitted.

To my big surprise, you do need them when you want to sell a car...

I can see it happening to DRLS too in the future (as much is I dislike them too).

Ah, but. If you need washers for xenons it'll be because the xenons were retrofitted. I can't see any circumstances where everyone will be forced to retrofit DRLs.

Sorry Ben but I just don't like them and they almost always look like an afterthought fitted by someone trying to make an older car look new. The Tuscan looks good because of its elegant, flowing lines. It doesn't need them, they spoil the flow and for anyone citing the safety aspect just turn your headlights on. Works for bikers.

err, I actually rather like them...

Certainly far more discrete and in keeping with the Tuscan's styling than some of the 'bling' lights I've seen on Audis and the like.

I think they would look better without that MK1 to MK2 conversion though. The overall look is a bit too busy for my taste.
