A quick search also reveals that there is a Duster ice racer in existence, piloted by none-other than Alain Prost back in 2009/10.



Who knew the lowly Duster had such impressive motorsport credentials!

watched some o fthat recently on euro sport, its hardly a dacia underneath, more a tubular spaceframe with a placcy shell dropped over it, you could pretty much make it look like any car you like! and I think the engine is rear or mid mounted too!

Used to love watching iceracing on Eurosport years ago, called "andros trophy" or something from memory.

Tubular space frame, and if i recall correctly detuned F1 engines??

Loads of Dacia cars in Bulgaria, mainly the dusters, and the Logan van things. Seems to be a Renault thing, as they all seem to have "by Renault" on them somewhere.

I have a thing about the honest simplicity of the Dacia Logan and Duster, even if perhaps I'd be disappointed if I had one.
