Proxes T1R Tyre ...No more...
Discussion
It would appear that Proxes have stopped making the T1R, the rubber I know that I have run for the last 60k and I suspect that which many others use as the Tuscan seems to favour them. I tried sourcing sets but came across Hen's teeth and Lord Lucan in my quest to find some.
Anybody that still has stock wont be able to replace them.
I have just put their replacement design on the car, the T1Sport. Already feels like a much harder compound and not sure the car is that keen, just that little bit more skittish with it being an A-symmetrical design, may have to experiment with pressures.
Just thought I'd see what other folks may have found as a replacement or already run instead of the Toyo. Share how the tyre feels once its scrubbed off a bit.

I have Pirelli Pzero Rossos and I like them on the Tuscan (hate them on my Audi how odd!). They seem progressive and grippy, fairly stiff sidewall, seem to suit the car but not cheap.
Lots of people are moving towards Vredstein Ultrac Sessantas on Tuscans (I swear by them on the Audi).
Is it the Toyo's that look odd on the rim? sort of stretched so the bead looks like its pulled away from the edge of the rim? Not keen on that.

I'm running the new Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2's.... and loving them! Loads of grip in the dry.. and also after a shower and on damp roads. Not been in bad rain yet but then I would be taking it easy anyway.
The fronts are 225/40s and don't look too stretched at all due to the rim protection bead.
