Paint matching

I need to paint a small section of wall, (approx 2 ft x 2 ft), inside my rental house where a previous water leak has stained it. No problem I thought as the colour is a magnolia shade. Then I went to B&Q and had a look at their paints and saw a whole shelf of magnolia paints of different shades! Bugger.
Is there a way of matching paints? There's no area where I could chip off some to take in which was my first thought. I saw some paint brochures with colours in them but the brochure is glossy and the paint itself is a rough matt type, (no idea what it's called even), and to my eye there are several that sort of match.

Any help greatly appreciated as I'm moving in a month.

If it was me and as you will struggle to match it 100% even if you used the same paint from the original tin (paint colour changes over time) I would pick the nearest match then just paint the whole wall,your have enough to do that even buying the smallest tin of matt emulsion you can find.
