Can a 358cui x NASCAR engine installed in a 1968 baracuda crack 275mph?

It's a blown unit on the salt flats and has 5 miles of throttle wide open to hit it?!!!
It's 18 foot long and 6foot wide.

You'd need to know the power output, frontal area and CdA to work it out properly. I'm going to guess no - Veyron only manages 260ish with 1000hp and a slippery shape; your engine sounds like it'd be less powerful and in a brick of a car as well.

The question is almost meaningless without knowing the power output. If its pushing 2000bhp then it would be "easy" wink . If it's a lot less than that . . . very doubtful

In a std bodied car, i'd say No, but in any kind of drag optimised platform then, yes, no probs ;-)
