Hi All,

(MK1 Eunos 96)
I had an issue last week when one of the rubber hoses burst/split. One of the Heater Matrix hoses.

I have replaced the hose (both) with nice new silicone ones. Filled it up and headed out for a quick test run.

Once things heated up and I had returned home to check things over I noticed some water/coolant coming from the water pump area.

Would I be correct in thinking that with the burst hose, the engine getting to hot I have also buggered my water pump?

Any thoughts on the pics below?

More than likely it was already going/gone but you've only noticed as you're working on the car and actively looking out for water leaks.

Thanks for the reply.

If I let the engine get hotter it does start to pour out, on those photos it doesn't show the water at full flow.

It's a four hour job. Start early, finished by lunchtime!

You might even get a pump in Halfrauds (the only motor factors likely to be open on Sunday).

hows your cambelt? as it needs to come off the for water pump anyway, unless it's recent you might as well replace it along with the belt tensioner and pulley, and if you really want to do a through job, camshaft and crankshaft oil seals too!

Thanks to all for the replies.

Cambelt done 12 months ago. Will have a look at it when the other parts get here.
