A little note of praise at last for someone connected with insurance.

A few weeks ago I had my 911 hit from the rear by a 'nice' chap in a Volvo on the M4 at Newbury. I was given a company to contact by a friend of mine who told me they would supply a replacement 911 whist mine was in for repair and that my NCD would not be affected!! A little sceptical about this but gave them a call and all was done without any issues. Non Faault Motor Claims settled my complete claim and I used a Porsche main dealer for repair, all in all, a great experience. Now had my renewal through and no change in premium apart from a few pounds!! Good job all round.

Cheers. Yes a little random, but having had a large battle a few years ago with my old Insurer re damage to my old Porsche this made a pleasant change. It took me twelve months to prove I wasn't at fault when hit by a Ford Ka in the snow, head on whilst I was stopped at the scene of an accident that had just happend. How can you be held at fault on a knock for knock agreement when on the correct side of the road and then to be hit head on? The whole insurance thing is a joke and I feel that they try to get out of any claim if they can. The phrase "act of God" was used as it involved snow and ice!! Cheers

Is it just my cynicism but all your posts are praising this company and you only just joined?

Yes, great job, thank Gawd for accident management companies. BTW, did the courtesy 911 cost more than the total cost of repair?

That's what I was thinking, OP you said at renewal your premium didn't change have you notified them that you had an accident?.
Also the "act of god" clause isn't in any motor insurance policy I know of if any the closest is "act of nature" and even then those clauses are very rare.

A ten day repair on the vehicle. The boys over at Swindon are the best! Not sure how much the loan car cost but I'm not worried as it was all sorted and now back on the road.

Thanks Zollar. My thoughts also, but thats what I was told and who am I to argue with them apart from the fact I thought it was a complete load of nonsense. In the end I had to talk with a Solicitor friend of mine who put a letter together for me from a legal prospective to the insurer as I had lost some NCD at the renewal. After about 12 months the case was sorted and NCD reinstated. How many people though would have just sat back and accepted that?
