mpg database?

Afternoon all,

I am looking to buy an efficient car for work slag duties.

Cheap (sub £1k), 5 door and something vagueley respectable (Focus, Mondeo, S40 etc).

However the real choice will be made dependant on its mpg. Does anyone know if there is some form of list which would show this? It would make making a shortlist much easier.

I remember years ago one of the regular car mags (unsure which one) had something similar in the back.

Parkers on-line give you MPG for loads of cars.

Have a look at the two PH mpg wikis;

Probably get a better indication of real world fuel economy that people get. Not the most comprehensive of lists, but may be handy.
