Since I picked up my new toy on Saturday...

I know its not the be all and end all of cars, but Im secretly rather pleased with it.

1 owner, FTSH with full leather.

About the only thing Im unhappy with are the brakes, which are apparently a bit of a sore point on these.

I fancy trying a master cylinder stopper as the first step in improving these, does anyone have a recommended supplier for this type of thing ?

Looks good. Picked up one of these myself towards the end of last year and absolutely love it. If you haven't already, have a look at celica-club.co.uk. I think there are some threads that could be worth reading about improving the brakes.

No, its not a 190 its the 140. Ive driven Elise's with the 190 motor and it wasnt what I wanted for a day to day to car tbh. Bit to manic.

Ive also heard the 140 has better torque, and Im happy enough with it as an overall package.

Hello from a fellow celica owner, got a T sport. Good choice in motor, personally think they are quite under-rated. You are correct that the standard brakes leave a lot to be desired. I upgraded with MTEC discs all round and EBC green stuff pads, but to be honest, even just changing the pads is a good improvement. As mentioned already, ccuk is a great place to hang out and get info, hope to see you over on there soon.

They do seem to have slipped under the radar rather. Am I right in thinking you have one Gaz ?

My wife bought a chilli red T-sport last week, I love it and kick myself for not getting one sooner. It really does show what an utter piece of st her Golf GTI was.
