Morning

It seems that I have an earthing problem to the Fuel pump system.

We have introduced an earth at the fuel pump relay to which the pump runs but the vehical dosent fire.

It cranks ok and seems all well.

Drove car to the unit a few months ago and was all ok!! It has been sat for a while.

Just seems that the car is missing half of its brain

Any thoughts or a wiring diagram would be great

Thanks in advance

Just to update we are not getting the following

1 Fuel pump prime (relay not earthing, live connected)
2 Injector paulsing (no earth triggers, live connected)
3 Coil spark earthing (no earthing, live connected)

So we think we have an earth missibng to the ECU or an Internal Issue with the ECU

ECU diagram would be a great help if someone had one

to confirm we can bypass relay and pump will run! another issue that we keep getting is variant delay on crank with key trigger.

Its the two ecu relays on the bulkhead by the sound of it. the connectors can push out of the underside of the relay base and get loose in their grip on the spade end on the relay, seen it a few times. check, clean and re tension the female crimps in the relay base and make sure they are well retained

Had a similar problem when I changed the battery, ended up missing an earth which had slipped down the side when refitting. Have you been in that area recently or are the terminals loose?
