Hello, New on this site.
Is there some one who has a bit of history of this car?
Bought from Steve Gerald after seen it for sale on E-bay.
Engine rough and not running due to incomplete.
Now in the proces of restoration by myself and conversion to LHD.

Hello Hans,

Sorry no info on your car but welcome. Great to have another S3 owner on the forum. What are your plans for your car?

Hans - your car was the next car made after mine - your is 1789?

Also you have it incorrectly listed with the TVRCC on my chassis number. I've contacted the registrar about this error some time ago but haven't followed it up.

Hello all,

The full information on my car is;
Vixen S 3
date of first registration 12-02-1972, but I have also paperwork with "Date sold" 3st december 1970. Name of agent Glder Autos.
VIN LVX/1789/4 ( in the chassis missing the slashes, problems with Dutch dvla)
colour yellow
engine number D.9261/1
registered keeper John Sharp in Leicester, was for sale on E-bay first, but bought on 22-01-2009 through TVR Sportscars.
previous keeper Trevor Findley, Leicester.

My plans are to restor the car whit a little up-grades on engine and so on.
At this moment is the body back to basic, so no paint. That showed no major accidents beside de rhd door and hole in front.
Both badly repaired but easy to repair.
Frame has already new outrigger, nicely done by previous owner.
Frame is blasted, minor repares en ready for hand coat.
Just did the new bearings in the rear uprights, al least the dismanteling. Now the rebuild.
Rhd outerflange has repair on wheel bolt. When possible I want another good flange (Anyone????)
Bought a running 1600 engine, much cheaper than revision 711. Can be done later when enough money.

I do not know what Seabass means?. Do I need to change something?

Thanks for your reactions.
I am sure I need further info later, but have many old messages to read.

Hear from me later.

Hans

Hi Hans

What I meant was that when you registered your car with TVR Car Club - the chassis number you supplied has been entered as LVX 1788/4 - the number of MY car. I realised who you were from the Vixen registry on the web.

Your details now appear on my TVRCC vehicle record in addition to mine even though they bear no resemblance to my vehicle.

If you could sort it out, it would be appreciated.

Have fun tracing the history of your car!

James

Best James,

Oke I will try to rectify this. I got a trace from the seller with the information on both cars so I made the mistake.
I am not a member anymore. To much new models in their (nice) magazine.

Sincerely yours, Hans
