Strange oil leak !! my dash leaks

My car runs perfectly but it has the strangest oilleak I ever seen ... The oil comes out of the dash just below the clocks ???
If I feel behind the clocks there hardly any oil ( or even no oil at all) but still there is a small trace of oil from the bottom of the clocks that hits the leather parts below it, the oil to me looks like engine oil as it is a bit blackish,
Now I was wondering if the oil pressure gauge is just a sensor on the engine with a electric wire, or is it a oil feed from the engine to the clock ( that would be really old style)
I own a 1997 4.2 cerb, the car is running like clockwork and it doesn lose any oil under the engine,

Anyone have an idea before I tear down the dash and start hunting

Ohh and the oilleak is minor because it is getting worse but I noticed it a few days agao for te first time and after 500 KM it just gets a bit more that I can see

The water temp is on a capilliary tube from the engine bay and may be leaking? Its only two nuts to take the dash top off and have a look!

Oil pressure gauge is fed via a braided hose from down between the V. It's a mechanically operated gauge so your leak may well be coming from this area. It's where I'd be checking first.
The braded hose comes from the engine to a fitting on top of the peddle box / inner arch area. Chech that's tight along with the opposing side inside the footwell.

The oil pressure/water temp clock has two capilaries going to it behind the cloack. One water and the other oil (which is a mechanical reading, not electrical). Take off the cowling above the main clocks by undoing the wing nuts underneath, and there are two phillips screws that secure the fascia in place. You can take these out for easier access, but you don't think you have to from memory.
The oil capilary might just need nipping up. Try that first.
