Watch for Wife?
Discussion
I'm going fishing for my 50th (better than it sounds, promise
)
Mrs BFB "wants a Rolex" for hers, but there are alternatives, I guess - budget is c£2k, doesn't have to be new providing it's immaculate. She wants a ladies mid-large size, ideally.
Her other watches are an ancient TAG, Omega Constellation dress watch and a Longines daily, plus various fashion items.
All thoughts welcomed - where do you think I should be steering her?

What about a vintage datejust, the mens ones have small diameter cases by today's standards and you might just squeeze an Air King at about your budget.
Blimey, they don't date do they? http://www.watches.co.uk/watch/10253s/rolex-vintag...Ooh, we are liking this very much. How negotiable will these prices be do you think?

Has she mentioned herself that other watches are a possibility other than a Rolex? Please don't take that as an inflamitory comment
If you manage to bag a well priced Rolex and she's not so keen on it then you should be able to pass it on at minimal (if any) loss and then shop around for something else.
ETA are you buying this with your wife or without her? Can't quite tell by previous posts.

With - but I want to show her a range of watches before (I suspect) she goes back and buys the first Rolex.

I'd also very much like her to choose something other than one, but my views are a distant second.
