anyone made this move?
Been reading up and i think a SV could be the way to go (boyhood dreams now within reach)
Anyone ever done a checklist on P.H on what to look for ect.
colours seem prety limited and most cars for sale seem to be up in haggis land.
Any help much appreciated.

Very nearly did it four years ago, came agonisingly close to having a do on a well-known SV (R6 WOW) but ultimately bottled out over worries about how to get the thing physically serviced when 'the inevitables' occurred...
Jason 'Mr Lambo UK' Barker is your first port of call and a really first class bloke.
For the provinces, Amari from SAClassics (.co.uk or com?) seems to be doing a good job oop north (Preston way).
Quite honestly, just as a right of passage, if it were me again, I think I'd say bollocks and do it.
It remains, the ultimate 'event car.'

(As an aside, I remember when Jason started up a Diablo for me when I visited him in the bunker at H.R.Owen's - the fire-up noise was an explosion, pure and simple and for several surreal minutes, I was transfixed by something that represented the apogee of automotive intoxication.)

WHAT? In 6 years that's all your car has required? You have got to be joking?? Did they give it to Honda to rebuild first

Orange car...... I know a bit of the history of this car (not recent, but at the time you would have looked at it....), and can tell you that it's a pity you didn't get this car, as I know who had it and can promise it was looked after better than any other car you'll see.... (although I think my friend got it instead of you - I believe he had it from new, sold it then got it back....I think it has a different reg now, long story I never understood) I rate the rides i had in this car as some of the most exciting experiences of my life... it was like a jet fighter...... what a car !

It has been awesome. My 92 i only for just over 1 year was great too. My Countach i had for 3 years. When i got rid of it, it had 76,000km, on its original clutch, maint consisted of oil+ filter changes and 1 valve adjustment. Nothing else. I did do some major modifications on the Countach though.
The SV is just awesome. Never get tired of it. Here is a picture of a recent race between me and friend in a 2004 Z06. We raced 30-140 mph, and the SV was about 15 car lengths ahead. No nitrous was used.
