The time has come to lavish some attention on my ex army SIII 109. Surface rust starting to appear on the bulkhead and in the load bed is the main concern. In typical fashion she has several layers of camo applied, over that strange orangey-pinky undercoat, and the paint is dropping off in flakes all over the body. So, I've decided to strip the whole truck down to bare metal, treat any rust I find and respray her with the correct camo paint. I've got the paint but the question is, what's the best way of getting the old paint off?

No, it was the standard anti-corrosive undercoat they used. She's just a common or garden 109 FFR!

The rear bed should be aluminium, well Birmabright.

If you are sanding down to bare metal you'll need to use some special aluminium primers or else the paint won't bound very well and will flake off.
