Eurosport Player Subscription - worth it?

So I can't go this year - second one missed in 17 years .....

I've seen mention round here of a one month Eurosport Player subscription and it looks well worth it for £7.50 but I'm worried that watching a streamed feed will be a frustratingly stop\start affair.

Anyone used it - if so what's the service like?

Hi, not sure if it's the same thing, but the Eurosport coverage on Sky TV, especially in HD, is brilliant. Just non- stop HQ coverage.

I paid around £7 for a monthly Eurosport subscription to be streamed via the internet last year. It's in French so I muted the sound and then streamed Radio Le Mans. This was all an excellent substitute for actually beimng there. True, it did crash once or twice but was simple to get back and running.

I don't have cable or satellite facilities so this was my only choice and as far as I'm concerned was fine.

I know there are some free pirate TV streams but I'v heard they have poor reliability.

It's probably worth it, but i watched the so called continuous stream last year on Sky and Eurosport got their channels messed up and at some points i was was watching tennis or snooker although Sky planner said Live Le Mans, might have been Sky and might be different with a specific Eurosport subscription, but just be aware it might not be a case of stick one channel on and sit back. Enjoy anyway :-) It is great in HD though tee hee

For 2010 it was definitley one channel: Eurosport streammed to my laptop plus RLM for the commentary, job done. Maybe Sky services to one's TV were not up to it.

Ah, gotcha now, it's a stream via t'internet.

Son Sky + 'ed the Eurosport coverage, whilst we were away at the real thing, and we watched it over the winter months, can't remember there being any probs with the scheduling, but it's amazing what you've missed, when you replay it, having spent Sat night at Arnage, and Sun morning at Mulsanne. I kept asking, "where were all these cars from, catching fire, which race was that, and why's that frenchman crying".
