What decibel meters do people use ?

Hi All,

Rookie just startin to get required stuff together for Track Days in my new TVR Sagaris, and gather I might have trouble with noise limits... What decibel meters does anybody use and are they accurate ??

Find a circuit near you running a track day and pop round to ask them to test it. They won't mind.

Shortly though someone will be along to tell you what chance you stand with the Sag.

you're right to be careful about these as the cheapo ones you get at a electronic component store have an accuracy of plus or minus 3db. That is a doubling or halfing of the sound level and obviously makes a st load of difference.
