Bit of a funny one guys but wondering if anybody can help with some ideas

I currently work as an account manager in the IT industry, selling consumables and hardware. This is a field that have I worked in for several years and I have a pretty good knowledge of the stuff that I sell.

However, I find that I am not enjoying the sales side of things. I fell back into my current position following a major personal upheaval, even though it is a role that I quit previously. My previous roles were more of an internal sales/sales admin role supporting a sales guy and I found this much more enjoyable

I am very analytical and enjoy the admin side of the role most. Speccing up servers and dealing with suppliers/manufacturers on special bids etc. I am very strong at personal relationships but struggle with cold calling/setting up new accounts

To clarify, I don't earn a huge amount of money and need to increase this quickly in order to keep up with bills (following the personal upheaval)

Anybody have any ideas of what direction to think about as I am a bit stuck and in a rut somewhat

Am only talking about earnings in the £20k bracket at the moment so not huge money, even though I am HP, IBM, Microsoft and HP sales accredited

Any advice much appreciated biggrin

If you don't have the confidence to go it alone, I'd attempt to improve current remuneration package at years end and then seek advice on how to make further progress in the company. Good luck!
