Help me build my road bike

I have just bought a Giant OCR frame for £20 and want some suggestions on what bits to put on it. I no nothing about road bikes and have next to no money so everything will have to be ebay specials. The bits that I have are a Tiagra triple crank, Tiagra front mech, Tiagra 9spd rear mech, saddle and Tektro rear brake. I need everything else.



I also got an old Sunn mtb frame with a bit of rust. What is the best way to clean it up? I would love to keep it polished but that might be too much hard work.

I'll start, and give everybody else something to argue with.

Wheels: Mavic Aksium

Tyres: I've been happiest on Conti's at various price points.

Cassette and chain: Shimano Tiagra

Brakes: It may be cheaper to find a pair than hold out for a similar front brake.

Handlebars, stem, seatpost and saddle: Don't worry about brand, but with bars and stem, try and work out what size you need to get the bike to fit your properly. Unless you know which saddle fits your butt, cheaper is better as you will most likely bin it when you work out what saddle works for you.

Pedals: If you are used to being cleated in, look for 2nd hand Look Keo pedals. If you are not used to being cleated in, and especially if you want to be able to walk in your riding shoes (or if you want one set of shoes for MTB and road), look for SPD pedals.
