Main Event (Sunday) - Santa Pod Photos

Hi guys,
After some Cs+C for my shots from Sunday at the Pod. I used to shoot at a lot slower shutter speed but was suffering with blur on the car when I pressed the shutter.
The other thing is, I'm not 100% keen on my post processing skills. I basically adjust until i'm happy but I don't necessarily know any of the rules or what to look for. So any advice on what I've achieved would be appreciated.

I changed position a couple of times throughout the day, found that the low level shots from the other side were incredibly difficult to achieve because of the speed the cars came up on the camera and the objects in the way.
