Suffers from porous blocks and slipped liners - like most of them but maybe more so. Opinion differs except that the 3.5 is generally less affected.
I don't think it was regarded as much of a step on from the 3.9 but it helped offset the extra weight of the LSE.

Mine seems ok, nearly as much oil comes out the bottom as goes in the top, although I am winning gradually smile
