Hi Folks

It's nearly that time again!

Anyone heading to Le Mans from the central belt? Will be leaving Edinburgh early next Wednesday and heading down to Birmingham to meet up with a couple of mates then carry on down to Dover, hop across the channel and then staying Wednesday night in Calais before heading to Le Mans on the Thursday morning.

Staying at the Valan campsite by the airport, look out for a silver L322 range rover stickered up RAF style with a grey Exige & green Chimera for company. Come say hello if you see us

Cheers

James

Me too

Taking the booze cruise from Hull to Zeebrugge
was going to take the porsche but after reading
the speeding thread on Le Mans forum, will now be
going in the Chimaera which feels like 110 Mph
at 70. Also hope the sun shines so we can get
the roof off which would be nice after the the weather
we have had in May. Enjoy Le Mans

Me and my mate are Le Mans bound! We will be leaving Coatbridge late on Wednesday night and driving overnight to Dover for the 8am ferry, that should be great fun hehe

Hi, Leaving Wishaw Wed night about 19.00 hrs, going all the way to Dover P&O ferry 05.50hrs. 5 in convoy Tuscan, Cossie, Sorrocco, Focus RS and VW Passet. If you want to tag on do so. Thursday morning Calais to Rouen then no toll roads N138,D438 etc etc we allways end up at Le Mans. PS there will be a few stops on the route. Well hope to see the Scottish flags flying by. PS we will try and keep with you ha ha..

We'd love to tag along, but unfortunately it would mean that we'd be in Dover over 3 hours early so think we are going to wait til about 10ish. Besides, doubt my Corsa could keep up! I drove to Chester and back last weekend and it didn't seem to enjoy sustaining 75 (on the speedo). On the way home I sat at 65 and it was 10x more comfortable. So a relaxing cruise south is on the cards for us.

Dyl. In the past if you arrive early for ferry ask if theres room on board for one more or do you have to wait till your booking, 9 times out of ten they let you on. Any way you would be the first in the cue for Mcdonalds in Dover or Calais. Have been going to LeMans 6 years in the trot never has any ferry trouble. Hope to see you on the way. Where you staying over there ? Have you been before or are you a LeMans virgin,(ps never been before)..

That's good to know about arriving early, cheers! We'll see how things are going on Wednesday then and head down early if we can. We are both going to LeMans for the first time, and I highly doubt it will be the last haha, camping on Blue Nord.
