993 Interior

Any know how easy/costly it would be to replace the wood effect in a 993 with something a bit more sporty e.g. carbon or if possible, aluminium?

I've seen car I like, but the wood is definitely not my taste!

What wood? There's none in mine and I'm not sure I've ever seen a 993 with wood in it.

I Have, last week PCGB R11 Lancasters in Colchester car clinic, LHD 993 Blue with colour coded blue wheels and Burgundy interior with wood option..........

plenty of places do these surrounds in fact most. first place i looked found this:-

964 / 993 Complete Dash Surround Set, comprising 6 pieces, all laser cut from Alloy or Carbon Fibre, easy DIY fitting £180.00

Hmmm, well anyway I can see why you would want to get rid of the wood. It sounds revolting! Wood looks OK in some cars (Bentley, Jag etc) but is completely out of place in a 911 IMO. All those pieces in the 6 piece kit are matt black in my car, to match the rest of the dashboard. I've got to say that I prefer it to any of those three kits, too.
