On holiday at the moment and I usually always put a cover on overnight. However, the blighter kept blowing away, so I left it off yesterday. It rained heavily and now the passenger footwell is sodden. The roof seems fine and no water anywhere else. Where's the first place to check?

Thanks.

I'm not with the car now, but I'm pretty sure it was just in front of the seats.

Previous owner had problems with water coming in through the wheel arch as he had the wrong size wheels on and they rubbed the fibreglass down making it porous. Possibly not your problem though if you weren't driving frown

Have a look at the bottom of the door seals, should be a couple of 'indents' to let water flow outside.

One the commonest reasons as Timja said is the hood area above the velcro needs a waterproof treatment
