1997 SL320 (straight 6)never missed a beat since I`ve had it.Gave it a full service inc` 6 new Bosch plugs. Then did over 250mls to France, started running on 4-5 cylinders when I pulled off the motorway!!miss-fired through the town, switched off in the hotel car park, started back up,problem gone?? Same next day after long run it started to miss-fire when we pulled into a town for lunch, switch off then back on problem gone?? That was three days ago, since then I`ve done over 350mls, back in the UK with out a miss-fire.Have I left the fault in France?? Any ideas chaps.

could be throttle body wiring loom , my C36 had a similar issue , cured by rewiring the brittle old wires . It's a known problem with the M104 engine
