...where insurance companies get excited about points on your driving licence.

I have just received (after 17 years of point free motoring) my second set of three in two months. I insured at a lower premium despite three points for one of my cars, but the cerbie is due soon and I'm wondering how badly I need to brace myself!

BTW I have full NCD which I hope will help...

Cheers

When I got my quote in March/ April I was never asked about points on my license, just if I'd been banned. I told them I had 6 points, they asked if they were for speeding, and said they didn't matter. Basically, they told me that speeding points were that common now, that they are only interested in other points or bans !!

Hopefully, all insurance compnaies will follow suit

I wouldn't worry. I had the same worries when I got 6 points in 6 days....the first for 12 years. It may load the premium slightly with some companies, but some (Liverpool Victoria) aren't bothered at all; as long as you haven't been banned.

My insurance is through Peart...less than Sunninghill the year before.

Thanks,

Makes me feel a bit better - looks like if I shop around a bit on the insurance it shouldn't bump my premium up too steeply...

All the best
