Xbox ,,,,, dvd

some freinds of mine bought my old tosh 40" lcd tv from me,

I was round setting it up for them..... pic on SD tvok, as that is all they have,,,,, but DVD was dispointing using an xbox...... i used a denon 1920, and then using a sony 550 bluray and not issue with pic using either..... is this fact the xbox is ste at this function, or do i need to adjust the settings some more.....

is there setting on the xbox, over n above those that appear on screen ( sorry no idea on xbox setting or where to find them... if they are of any use)

There is a output setting in the system menu on the xbox, check that is set 1080.

The xbox is ok for DVD's, it's what I use but I'm aware that a standalone player would do a better job. Either the settings are wrong or you are used to higher quality?

I'll give that ago (but don't hold out much luck) ..... as looking at the issue the is Denon was damn fine dvd player, n the sony bluray did a godd job as well on dvds (still believe the denon was better for dvds )
