Classic Car insurance groups

Hello all,

I'm 17 and was looking to insure an MGB GT as my first car, phoned up Footman James (who did insure people on them) only to be told they now don't as it's too high a group.

It's a group 12 and they only insure up to a group 10 for a 17 year old. I'm struggling to find what is now available to me as I can't find any lists on the web.

I know if I go through Peter James (the only other classic insurer that will insure me) the criteria is saloon and under 1300cc...

But, does anybody know of where I can find lists for insurance groups on classic cars?
